Our Full Colour printing is produced on state-of-the-art KBA and Heidelberg Lithographic Printing Presses. These range in size from A3 (using our Heidelberg SM52 presses) up to a size of 1600mm x 1170mm (using our phenomenal KBA 162a press).

 

The excellence of these machines allows us to produce work of the highest standard. Full Colour Printing is produced by combining four colours (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) in different percentages. It is perfect for the majority of work, however, there are times when more specialised print processes are required.

 

Advanced Printing Technology

We are among the few printers to use Stochastic Screening for all our Lithographic Printing. It means that traditional 'dots' of colour are replaced with much smaller random screens. The results are dramatic, with improvements in the quality of both pictures and fine text. Though the technology is not the same, the difference is like comparing High Definition with ordinary television!!

 

In addition to Full Colour we are able to offer Metal FX (Metallic Printing). We can also print using Pantone Spot Colours. Metal FX is a relatively new process. We have passed strict criteria to be licensed to use the system. Metal FX allows any number of Metallic colours to be produced on the same page with Full Colour.

 

Special Shapes

We can also Die-Cut Leaflets of A5 size and upwards in to any shape you can think of. There are a large number of pre-designed formes available for you to use. Please go to www.specialshapes.co.uk to see this range. We are adding new formes regularly. If the shape you require is not available then we can make a forme for your specific requirement.

 

The cost of a forme starts at just £70.00 + VAT. We are pleased to make your forme at half price if you agree to allow it to appear on www.specialshapes.co.uk for use by other clients. Please submit your design to us for an exact costing. The cost of a forme is a one off charge. On subsequent runs we can use the forme again.

 

The cost of Die-Cutting (over an above the cost of the forme) is calculated from a setup charge and then a running cost per 100. Set up Charge £45.00 + VAT Running cost £3.00 + VAT per 100
